FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS |
| |
|
What
does it mean to be an "all volunteer" organization?
|
|
The
Africa Project is made up of a group of talented community leaders,
business professionals and young people who donate their
time, resources, and expertise to The Africa Project.
And since we do not pay staff to coordinate our efforts, we
are able to direct the donations we receive to the community
based programs in Africa that we support. |
| |
|
How does
The Africa Project operate without paid staff? |
|
We are
a working
Board of
Directors,
supported by a strong volunteer Youth Board and our
volunteer Ambassadors. Again, these community
leaders, business professionals, and young people are all
deeply committed to this community based effort. |

|
What programs and
services are supported by The Africa Project? |
| The
Africa Project focuses on the most basic needs first.
These are food, healthcare, education. In order to do
this, we identify service providers already working in
Nkandla. Then we ask them how we can help them do more
of what they do, better.
|
| |
| Who
pays for your group to travel to Nkandla? |
|
Members of The Africa Project do not
fundraise to pay for travel expenses. Each member who
visits Nkandla is responsible for the cost of their
transportation and accommodations. |
|
 |
|
The Africa Project is
governed by an all volunteer Board of
Directors.
