In lieu of gifts, Tiffany and Travis are asking their family and friends to make a donation to The Africa Project, an all volunteer non profit that Tiffany’s parents started in 2005, together with a group of friends in Irvine. The Africa Project supports children and families in Nkandla, South Africa where extreme poverty has been exasperated by the HIV/AIDS pandemic. In Nkandla, approximately one in three women, and one in four men, have HIV. Consequently, a generation of children are either taking care of their sick or dying parents or they have been orphaned and are having to fend for themselves. Your donation will support Sizanani Outreach Programme’s home based care, a holistic approach that addresses the health, education, legal, psychosocial, environmental, and nutritional needs of the children and families served.
