During our visit to Nkandla in the summer of 2005, Penny purchased several pieces of fabric that she hoped to have made in to quilts for The Africa Project.  After our return, Penny met a wonderful woman (K.M.B.) who agreed to do just that.  She created three quilts (below).  These beautiful quilts were displayed at all of our first year events including "The Week of the African Child," the "Benefit Concert Dinner" and more. They were auctioned off at our Week of the African Child brunch in December of 2006.
